Tay Kai Ann was a student of Seng Kang Secondary School from 2018 to 2021.

Academic Performance

Kai Ann is highly disciplined and focused on his goals in life. He possesses a positive work attitude and was always searching for ways to overcome challenges. He never gave up until his objectives were achieved. Over his years of education in the school, Kai Ann had shown sustained improvement in his studies and the commitment to excel in all subjects. He is always prepared to listen to advice and to act upon it as a means of improving the standard of his work. He grasps new ideas easily and demonstrates innovative insight in class discussions. He is highly thought of boy his teachers and peers.

Co-Curricular Activities / Community Service

At the end of his 4 years' service in the school’s National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) Kai Ann was appointed the rank of Staff Sergeant. Kai Ann was a dedicated member of the school’s NPCC and had represented the school in numerous competitions and events. In 2018, Kai Ann had represented the school in the Total Defence Badge Competition and had obtained the Bronze Award, In the same year, he had also helped his unit obtain the Excellent Unit Award (Silver). He had also participated enthusiastically in multiple camps organized by the school, which included the Adventure Training Camp, Survival Training Camp and NPCC Year End Camp, in which he gave his best in all the events that he participated in. With relentless hard work and effort, Kai Ann eventually contributed to NPCC’s attainment of Excellent Unit Award (Gold) in 2019.

Throughout his four years in Seng Kang Secondary School, Kai Ann volunteered his time for a range of Values-in-Action (VIA) projects organized by his class and took great pride in discharging his duties responsibly. He actively contributed to the planning and execution of several VIA projects, focusing on promoting environmental awareness to the community and caring for the elderly. He helped in the planning and setting up of the online sale for the class Social Enterprise – Raising Funds for Make A Wish Foundation. His enthusiasm and ever-ready-to-serve attitude were evident in Project Water Conservation, where he proactively promoted the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle idea to the community, and offered his help to the needy. During his visit to the Sunnyville Home, Kai Ann had brought joy to many of the elderly, and demonstrated his compassion and care for the old and underprivileged.
